Local Goat

The kitschy name of this local favorite may get you in the door, but the delicious meals you devour are what will keep you coming back time and time again! Offering a modernized version of the all-American foods we can never get enough of, the Local Goat in Pigeon Forge is open every day of the week from 11 AM through 11 PM, featuring some great happy hour deals from 3-6 during the week. Moderately priced, the meals served here are handmade, and many consider them the GOAT of food, so if you stop by and agree, be sure to let us know!

Located at 2167 Parkway in Pigeon Forge

The red brick building with green and white striped awnings has been a local tradition almost since the day they opened back in 2016. Casually modern and filled with pub tables and a truly gigantic television, guests feel welcomed and at home when they enter the space, especially when seated at the diamond-plated bar known as Billy’s. (Get it? Billy goat?) Their success story is a simple one, written one page at a time with a menu filled with foods that are local, sustainable, and delicious, all served by friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. When you book a stay in our Pigeon Forge vacation rentals, you’ll be able to enjoy the heavenly food at the Local Goat restaurant every day during your vacation!

The Local Goat Restaurant Menu

We can talk about the décor and the atmosphere all day, but we know it’s the menu you are interested in hearing more about! As stated above, everything they make is handmade from locally sourced ingredients, but it’s learning that their truly gigantic menu is filled with drool-worthy foods that will make your taste buds begin to water! Start a meal with their Deep Fried Deviled Eggs  made with Panko breaded free-range deviled eggs, candied bacon, sriracha and green onions, and know that you may never want to leave this pub stool ever again! Their main menu is filled with the basics, steaks, ribs, chicken, and pork chops, but absolutely nothing about any of those dishes is basic! Bite into a Jumbo Lump Crab Cake served with caramelized onion mashed potatoes or dig into a TN Whiskey Glazed Burger that takes two hands to hold. Whatever main dish you choose to sample, be sure to save room for their Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie; the dessert menu is impressive but take just one bite of this pie and you will die happy!
