Each year Ober Gatlinburg, where you will find some of the best ski slopes in the state during the winter, hosts their Mayfest Celebration. Mayfest is a traditional German event that highlights the history and culture of German heritage while also highlighting the natural beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains.
